1st movement from J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #2 for clarinet quintet. Not easy music, but it is accessible. The Eb clarinet takes the place of the piccolo trumpet in the original score. There is an alternate Bb clarinet part provided.

The story behind this transcription is this: While I was at a chamber music session, the strings got together for their annual Brandenburg Concerto play-throughs and it was suggested that I play the trumpet part in Concerto #2 on Eb clarinet. It was a blast to do and there were many comments about how much like the piccolo trumpet the Eb sounded. -John Gibson, author of Advanced Intonation Technique for Clarinets
